Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian who has been around for some time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland, on 16th March 1984. She appeared on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh (born 16 March, 1984) is a comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her stand-up career in 2011after having appeared in bits in several Irish television shows and British series since 2009. By 2012 she was regularly appearing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. In the wake of her success in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel shows. In 2016 through 2017, she served as a captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as a frequent participant in the show's follow-up show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She is the daughter of Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her sister, was also born. She is only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. Bea is her surname in honor of her deceased father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian took his life when he was just three years old. He was a horse veterinary. Bea wasn't told the details of how he passed away until she turned 13. In 2017 she wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family and took on the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea as well as her sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) a secondary school teacher jockey trainer and professional jockey for a time. Their family was in love with racing meetings and horses. Bea began her career as tourist guides at the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her love was performing and not racing.
